For my Sweetheart | Boudoir Marathon

Valentine's day is just around the corner so early January I decided to put together my first Boudoir Marathon. I got a wonderful hair stylist: Misty Herrmann, and a GREAT make-up artist: Meagan Phillips to help me pamper my wonderful clients. I booked a room at the MCM Elegante in Beaumont who did a wonderful job accommodating us and letting us get in the room way before check in.

Regina was our first client and I could not have asked for a better one. I have worked with her and her kids before, so I was so excited that she signed up. She plays the bass guitar and decided to bring that along for her session. As her request, I can not show those images because they are for her husbands eyes only. Isn't she beautiful?!!!

Next was Regina's friend Alica and she was fantastic to work with. This was my first time working with her and I loved her ink work. Her pictures came out beautiful!

Ashly and I have had an ongoing joke about the Dallas Cowgirls (oooops I mean boys) since she booked her session. I told her I wasn't going to shoot her wearing that sissy jersey but she looked too cute in it not too shoot her.

Last year, I shot Amanda & Mark's wedding so I was excited that she booked as a gift to him. I know he is going to LOVE them!

This was my first time working with Michelle as well and we hit it off from the very beginning. She is an absolute doll to work with and we have become pretty good friends outside of this shoot. I can not wait to Trash her Dress shoot coming up.

I will be holding another Boudoir Marathon in the next couple month so please keep a look out for that special on my Facebook page!

They Stick Together

Early October I got a call from Jamie wanting to set up an appointment with her family. After a few issues, babies sick, etc... we FINALLY were able to get together shortly after Christmas. This was the perfect time to take pictures because all of her family was together. I had so much fun shooting these ladies and I am so happy with how the pictures turned out.

After several attempts to get a group shot with everyone looking at me, we finally got this one! I think it needs to be framed :)

This little guy had me in stitches the entire time. He is such a cute ball of energy and was all over the place. I think I lost a few pounds by chasing him around...lol!!

I am so glad this lovely family was able to make it in time. They were in traffic while I began the shoot and just made it in time.

Nothing makes me happier than seeing a happy family with a baby. Little Tori was so cute with her red "wizard of oz" shoes.

Sweet Liam

A couple days ago I got the honor to take pictures of this little cutie. Some dear friends of ours had Liam about 2 weeks ago, and he was so sweet and easy to work with.

His dad use to play sax in college at Lamar so we had to include that in some of the pictures.

This little outfit was handmade by my cousin so I had to get some pictures of it for her Etsy shop. What better model to use, than Liam.

Getting prepared for the next shot, we wrapped him up to keep him warm, and just placed him on soft fabric that I had folded up ready to be packed up. I looked down and he was sound asleep and looked so peaceful. Perfect moment to snap a picture.

This was one of the first shots of the day and I think it's my favorite. I am so excited that they booked "babies first year" with me so I can watch Liam grow up before my lens.

What a difference a year makes...

I have been seeing a lot of friends in the Wedding Industry blogging about what a great year they have had and that got me thinking about the year I have had. This year has been AMAZING! Not only have I gotten the chance to work with some amazing vendors, I have also come to know and love some fellow photogs in our area.

From my first wedding this year...

To my last...

I have loved every minute of it. I have met some amazing people along the way and feel like they are apart of my family.

I have grown so much just this year and I only hope I can continue to grow and improve with my photography. I want to say THANK YOU to all my wonderful clients this year. Thank you for trusting me with providing you memories to last a lifetime. Thank you for allowing me to grow with your family and watch your kids grow up from my lens. Each and every one of you hold a special place in my heart.

Next year my goals are to adopt more loving people to become apart of my photography family. To learn and exceed this coming year, and to provide you with more lasting memories.

Thank you again for making this year so GREAT! Happy New Year!!

WOW!

I didn't realize how far behind I was on posting blogs. This year has flown by so fast that I haven't had time to add to my photography blog. I am hoping that I can start to maintain this blog and really get it back up and running.

Jackson's 1st Birthday

In october, I got to attend a friend of ours birthday party. It was truly a spook-tacular expierence. They had their entire backyard decorated to look like a pirate ship and almost everyone dressed up.

The smallest details sometimes goes un-noticed. I love capturing the details at a wedding.
